Monaca sits along the Ohio River about 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, accessible via I-376 west to PA Route 18 north. This small borough of 5,500 residents occupies the strategic confluence of the Ohio and Beaver Rivers. Route 51 provides scenic river access while Route 68 cuts east-west through town. The area enjoys four distinct seasons with the river moderating extreme temperatures. Monaca's most distinctive feature is the prehistoric Indian Mound that gives the town its name.
