Mokena is a Will County suburb about 35 miles southwest of Chicago, accessible via Interstate 80 and Route 45. Originally a railroad town from the 1850s, it's grown into a family-friendly community with easy highway access to the city and western suburbs. The town sits on rolling prairie with the Des Plaines River nearby, and downtown features the distinctive Front Street Brewery in a converted 1906 grain elevator.
