Mobridge sits where US Highway 12 and US Highway 83 cross the Missouri River in north-central South Dakota. The city connects Aberdeen to the east with the Black Hills region to the west, while Highway 83 links Bismarck, North Dakota, and Pierre. Named for the Milwaukee Road railroad bridge, Mobridge features the Chief Sitting Bull Monument marking the relocated burial site of the famous Lakota leader.
