Mobile City is a tiny community of about 300 people in Rockwall County, roughly 30 miles northeast of Dallas via I-30 and local roads. State Highway 66 runs east-west through the area, connecting to Rockwall and Greenville, while FM roads link to nearby Fate and Princeton. The town got its name from the old Mobile and Ohio Railroad that used to carry passengers through here.
