Minto is a farming town of about 700 people in northeastern North Dakota, 25 miles southwest of Grand Forks via US Highway 81. The town sits in rich Red River Valley farmland and serves the surrounding agricultural area. Most visitors drive up from Fargo on US 81 or come from Grand Forks for business in the farming community. The town's 1914 grain elevator still operates during harvest and can be seen for miles across the flat prairie.
