Minier is a small farming town in central Illinois, about 20 miles southeast of Peoria via Highway 150. Most visitors exit I-155 and head east, passing through classic Midwest agricultural landscape. The community of 1,100 sits in flat prairie country with corn and soybean fields stretching to the horizon. The town's water tower features a distinctive red cardinal design that's visible for miles across the farmland.
