Mingus is a small Texas town of 380 people located 70 miles west of Fort Worth in Palo Pinto County. Drivers reach it via US Highway 180, which connects to Weatherford (25 miles east) and Mineral Wells (15 miles west). Most visitors arrive from Interstate 20 through Weatherford. The town sits among rolling ranch land and oil fields, with several active pump jacks still visible from the main highway.
