Milltown is a small river town in northwestern Wisconsin, eight miles from Minnesota on Highway 35. Most visitors arrive via I-35 from the Twin Cities, then take Highway 48 west to Highway 35 south. The Apple River runs right through town, supporting several tubing and canoe outfitters that draw summer crowds. The historic 1906 dam still generates electricity for the community.
