Mill Shoals is a tiny White County community of 126 people in southeastern Illinois farm country. Take State Route 14 to reach it, connecting west to I-64 near Mount Vernon (35 miles) or east toward Carmi and Indiana. The nearest major city is Evansville, about 60 miles southeast. Plan EV charging in larger towns since rural stations are limited. The community takes its name from an old mill that once operated along the nearby Little Wabash River.
