Milaca is a small central Minnesota city about 75 miles north of the Twin Cities, accessible via Highway 169 from Interstate 35. The town sits in lake country with a continental climate and serves visitors heading to Mille Lacs recreation areas. The restored 1937 Milaca Theater downtown still shows movies with its original art deco marquee intact.
