Midland is a small prairie town of 135 people in central South Dakota, reached via Highway 14 about 25 miles southeast of Philip. The main routes include Highway 63 from Interstate 90 and Highway 14 east toward Pierre. The original 1907 railroad depot still stands downtown, marking the town's railroad heritage.
