Middletown is a small Maryland city along historic US Route 40, positioned between Frederick and Hagerstown in rolling Frederick County farmland. Access is easy via I-70 Exit 42 or Route 40 Alt through town. The restored 1920s Middletown Grange Fair Playhouse on Main Street still hosts live performances in its original art deco interior.
