Middlesex is a small Nash County town of about 870 people, located 45 miles northeast of Raleigh via US-64 East and NC-4 North. The town sits in rolling Piedmont countryside between Rocky Mount and the Virginia border, with US-301 providing additional north-south access. Active tobacco farms and traditional curing barns still define much of the surrounding rural landscape.
