Mexico Beach is a small Gulf Coast town in Florida's Bay County, home to about 1,100 people on a narrow peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico and St. Joseph Bay. US-98 runs right through town as the main route, connecting to Panama City (20 miles east) and other Forgotten Coast communities. From Tallahassee, take US-319 south to US-98 west for about 85 miles. The town famously limits all buildings to four stories, keeping the skyline low and Gulf views unobstructed.
