Metamora is a small village about 45 miles northwest of Detroit in rural Lapeer County. Reach it via M-24 from Pontiac or take I-75 to M-24 for longer trips. The area offers rolling farmland and woods typical of southeastern Michigan, with cold winters and warm summers. The village is home to Michigan's longest toboggan run at 1,200 feet in the Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area.
