Meridian is a small county seat in central Texas hill country, about an hour southwest of Waco via Highway 6. The town of 1,600 sits where the eastern woodlands meet the western plains, accessible from I-35 through either Waco or Temple. The 1886 red sandstone courthouse with its prominent clock tower anchors the historic town square.
