Meridian lies just west of Boise along I-84 in Idaho's Treasure Valley. The growing suburb connects easily via Eagle Road north to Eagle or south to Nampa, with Overland Road providing the main east-west route through town. Most visitors arrive from Boise Airport, about 15 miles southeast. The city sits at 2,500 feet elevation with a semi-arid climate and over 200 sunny days yearly. Meridian houses Idaho's largest dairy operation, milking over 30,000 cows daily.
