Meriden is a small Kansas town of about 700 people located on US Highway 75, roughly 20 miles south of Topeka. The main route in is straight down US 75 from Topeka or up from Lawrence, with easy Interstate 70 access nearby. The town sits in rolling prairie country typical of northeastern Kansas and experiences the region's continental climate with hot summers and cold winters. Meriden's restored 1880s railroad depot now serves as a community museum highlighting the area's agricultural history.
