Menands is a small Hudson River village just north of Albany, easily reached via Interstate 787 and US Route 9. The community sits where the Mohawk meets the Hudson, about 8 miles from Albany International Airport. Popular with Capital Region commuters, it offers quick highway access to I-90 for longer trips. The village is home to the historic Jericho Drive-In theater, one of the area's last remaining drive-in movie venues.
