Melvina is a tiny farming community in Monroe County where Highway 71 meets County Road EE, about 15 miles from Sparta. Most people reach it via Highway 71 from I-94, using exits near Millston or Sparta. The area features rolling Driftless Area hills with dairy farms and crop fields. The historic one-room schoolhouse from 1897 still stands in town.
