Melrose is a small Wisconsin city in Jackson County, located along Highway 54 between Black River Falls and Sparta. The town sits in the Black River valley with rolling farmland and wooded hills typical of west-central Wisconsin. Most visitors arrive via Interstate 94 to Black River Falls, then take Highway 54 west for about 12 miles. The city still follows its original 1880s railroad-era street grid.
