Melrose is a farming town in eastern New Mexico where US Highway 60 meets State Road 267. Located 20 miles west of Clovis on US 60, it connects travelers between Amarillo (90 miles east) and Socorro (180 miles west). The town sits at 4,200 feet elevation in semi-arid high plains country.
