Melba is a small farming town in Canyon County, about 25 miles southwest of Boise via I-84 and Highway 45. The community of 617 people sits in Idaho's Snake River Plain, surrounded by irrigated farmland growing corn and sugar beets. Highway 45 connects north to I-84 and south toward the Owyhee Mountains, while Highway 78 provides an eastern route from Kuna. The town hosts Melba Days each August with a community barbecue and parade.
