Meigs is a small farming town in south Georgia, about 30 miles from Tallahassee. US Highway 84 runs right through town, connecting Thomasville and Valdosta. Most visitors take I-75 to Exit 16 near Valdosta, then follow US 84 west about 25 miles. The town of 924 people sits among cotton fields and pecan groves in Thomas County. One of Georgia's oldest cotton gins still operates here each harvest season.
