Medora is a tiny badlands town in western North Dakota that serves as the gateway to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Located just off Interstate 94 about 135 miles west of Bismarck, it's easily accessible for cross-country travelers via Exit 24. The town sits in dramatic sandstone country where the Little Missouri River winds through colorful rock formations. The famous Medora Musical performs every summer in a natural amphitheater carved right into the hillside.
