Mecosta is a small farming community in central Michigan, reached via M-20 about 15 miles northeast of Big Rapids. Most visitors drive from US-131 at Exit 139, following M-20 east through rolling countryside. The historic railway corridor that once connected Chicago to western Michigan runs right through town, now serving as a recreational trail.
