Meadville is a small Franklin County seat in southwest Mississippi, accessible via Highway 84 from McComb (25 miles southwest) or Brookhaven (35 miles northwest). The main routes include Highway 51 south from Brookhaven and Highway 48 northeast from McComb through pine forests. The 1903 red brick courthouse with limestone trim anchors the town square as a well-preserved example of Classical Revival architecture.
