Mead is a small farming town of about 600 people in eastern Nebraska, roughly 25 miles northwest of Omaha. Highway 92 runs right through town and connects to Interstate 680 for easy access to the metro area. The grain elevator stands tall above the surrounding cornfields, marking this agricultural community that's been here since the 1880s.
