McIntosh is a small rural community in north-central Florida, about 20 miles south of Gainesville on State Road 441. The town sits in rolling countryside dotted with horse farms and citrus groves. Most visitors arrive via I-75 (Exit 374) or drive directly on SR-441 from either Gainesville or Ocala. The area lies along the historic Bellamy Road, a 19th-century military route that once crossed the entire state.
