McConnells is a small York County community of 285 people, reachable via Highway 322 from Rock Hill (15 miles) or I-77 to Highway 161 west. The town sits in rolling Piedmont hills with a humid subtropical climate. Rock Hill - York County Airport is 20 miles southeast. Named for Scottish-Irish settlers who built a 1760s trading post, McConnells retains its original crossroads layout.
