McClure is a tiny community of 240 people in Illinois' southern tip, near the Ohio River confluence. Drive there via I-57 to Route 3, or cross from Missouri on I-55 to Route 3 south. Most trips are short runs to Cairo or longer hauls to Carbondale. Cape Girardeau Regional Airport sits 25 miles northwest. The town sits surrounded by Illinois' rare cypress swamps and bottomland forests.
