McBee is a small farming town in Chesterfield County where Highways 151 and 145 meet. Most visitors arrive via Highway 151 from Camden (25 miles south) or Cheraw (30 miles north), with longer trips connecting through Interstate 20. The town of 800 sits amid agricultural fields and pine forests typical of rural South Carolina. Its historic railroad depot still stands from its early 1900s origins as a Seaboard Air Line Railway stop.
