McAdoo is a small borough in Pennsylvania's coal region, reached via Route 309 from I-81 Exit 134. The town sits at the intersection of Routes 309 and 54, with Hazleton Municipal Airport 12 miles northeast. Most visitors come for outdoor recreation in the surrounding Appalachian foothills or pass through on Route 309 between Tamaqua and Hazleton. The restored 1930s Ritz Theater downtown still shows weekend movies.
