Maywood is a tiny farming town in southwestern Nebraska where Highways 83 and 23 intersect. Most visitors drive up from McCook 25 miles south or down from North Platte 60 miles north on Highway 83. The town serves as Frontier County's seat, centered around a striking red brick courthouse built in 1890.
