Mayville is the county seat of Chautauqua County, sitting on the north shore of Chautauqua Lake in western New York. Take Route 394 as your main access road, connecting to I-86 near Jamestown about 15 miles north. The historic 1882 courthouse with its prominent clock tower has been marking time for the county for more than 140 years.
