Mayville is a small farming community in Michigan's Thumb region, about 90 miles northeast of Detroit via I-75 and M-83. The town of roughly 1,000 people sits among rolling agricultural land in Tuscola County, with M-83 serving as the main route connecting it to Frankenmuth, Bay City, and Saginaw. The working grain elevator downtown still processes crops from local farms each harvest season.
