Maysville is a small Jones County town on US Highway 17 between Wilmington and New Bern in eastern North Carolina's coastal plain. The main route from Wilmington runs 45 miles north on US 17, while New Bern is just 25 miles north. From Raleigh, take I-40 east to US 17 south for about two hours. The town hosts the annual Pork, Pine and Puppy Drum Festival celebrating local barbecue, timber, and fishing.
