Mayo is a small county seat in north-central Florida, about 45 minutes south of Tallahassee via US-27. The town sits along the Suwannee River in an area of rolling hills and hardwood forests. US-27 is the main route, with connections to I-75 near High Springs for longer trips. The 1908 courthouse is one of Florida's tiniest county courthouses.
