Maynard is a tiny farming town in northeastern Arkansas near the Missouri border, home to about 300 people in Randolph County. Highway 67 runs right through town, connecting south to Pocahontas 15 miles away and providing the main route for visitors from Little Rock via Interstate 40 and Highway 1. The surrounding Delta farmland grows rice, soybeans, and cotton across flat, fertile fields. The town's post office has operated from the same brick building since 1903.
