Mayesville is a small farming town in central South Carolina, about 15 miles northeast of Sumter along US Highway 15. The main route from I-95 takes Exit 135 north for 25 miles, while Columbia drivers use I-20 east to US 15 north. Local traffic uses SC Highway 763 for rural connections. The town features a unique tobacco farming museum in a restored 1920s warehouse with original auction floor markings.
