Matherville, IL

Matherville is a small farming community in northwestern Illinois, about 15 miles from the Quad Cities. Take Route 17 east from I-280, then head south on local roads through corn and soybean fields. Most visitors are either passing through on county roads or heading to the Quad Cities for work. The town still maintains its original 1920s brick firehouse, which serves as both fire station and community center.
