Maryville is a college town in northwest Missouri, about 100 miles north of Kansas City along US Highway 71. Home to Northwest Missouri State University, the city sits at the crossroads of Highway 71 and State Highway 136, with easy access to I-35 thirty miles east. The historic limestone courthouse anchors the downtown square, built in 1881 from stone quarried along the nearby One Hundred and Two River.
