Mart is a small farming town of about 1,700 people in McLennan County, 20 miles southeast of Waco via Highway 7. The main routes are Highway 7 (connecting Waco to Mexia) and Highway 164 heading south to rural areas. TSTC Waco Airport is 15 miles northwest. The town sits in blackland prairie country with rolling farmland. Its restored 1920s cotton gin still operates during harvest season.
