Mars is a small Pennsylvania borough about 20 miles north of Pittsburgh via Route 228 and I-79. With around 1,300 residents, it sits in Butler County's rolling countryside between Cranberry Township and Evans City. The area serves as a bedroom community for Pittsburgh commuters, accessible through the I-79 corridor. Mars is famous for its roadside Flying Saucer sculpture that has greeted travelers along Route 228 since the 1970s.
