Marmarth is a tiny ranching town of about 100 people in North Dakota's badlands, where the Little Missouri River's forks meet. Reach it via Highway 12 from Bowman (35 miles east) or Baker, Montana (30 miles west), or take Highway 16 north from the south. The nearest major services are in Dickinson, 85 miles northeast via Highways 16 and 85 to I-94. The town sits at the actual confluence of the Little Missouri River's north and south forks.
