Marked Tree is a small Delta farming town in northeastern Arkansas, connected by Highway 63 running north-south and Highway 42 east-west. Most visitors arrive via I-40 then Highway 63 north, with Jonesboro 45 miles northwest being the nearest larger city. The town got its name from a marked cottonwood tree that once guided settlers to a river crossing.
