Marion is a farming town of 176 people in southeastern North Dakota, about 80 miles from Bismarck. Highway 281 runs north-south through town, connecting to Jamestown 25 miles north and continuing toward South Dakota. Most visitors come from Jamestown or take Highway 83 south from Bismarck to Highway 13 east. The town's 1920s grain elevator complex still operates and serves as a prairie landmark visible for miles.
