Marion is a small farming town in north Louisiana's Union Parish, surrounded by cotton fields and pine forests. Highway 165 runs right through town, connecting to Monroe 25 miles south and Arkansas to the north. Most visitors come from I-20, taking the Highway 165 exit near Sterlington for a 30-minute drive north. The red brick courthouse from 1898 dominates the tiny downtown with its Victorian clock tower.
