Marianna is the Lee County seat in eastern Arkansas's Mississippi River Delta, accessible via Interstate 40 at Exit 241. Highway 1 runs through town, connecting to Little Rock 90 miles west and Memphis 60 miles east. The area's flat, fertile farmland supports cotton and soybean production. The Lee County Museum operates in a restored 1904 courthouse featuring a working Seth Thomas tower clock that's kept time for over a century.
