Maquon is a farming community of 161 people in western Illinois, about 15 miles southeast of Galesburg via Route 97. Long-distance visitors typically reach it from Interstate 74 through Galesburg, while locals use county roads connecting to nearby farming towns. The old Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad grade still runs through the center of town.
